For as long as he can remember, Shay has been fascinated with the intimate moment when human meets space and its power to heal. His academic background and endless curiosity took him around the globe in search for answers to one important question — what makes space feel like home?
Powered by an academic backbone of architecture and sustainable design, and combined with practical experience in interactive art direction, design strategy and real-estate brought him to explore the world of immersive spatial design. By shifting his focus towards understanding the meaning of physical experiences in times of hyper connectivity and Ai-powered future, Shay is asking questions about the meaning of being human today, and how strategic spatial design can help us think, feel and live better, healthier life.
His personal wellbeing journey pushed him to reside in Lisbon in 2023, and start XŪX (shū-sh) — a living experience design studio working at the intersection of design, real estate, and wellbeing. It’s goal is to create spaces that don't just look beautiful but actively support their residents.

Purpose & Principles
XŪX exists to elevate the human experience and believes that where you live shapes how you live, and your space has the powers to heal you and your loved ones. Through research-based design principles, cultural connection, and wellbeing integration, we create personalised environments that enable clients to live happier, healthier, and more inspired lives.
We design with intention and discipline, treating each project as a framework where clarity defines direction and consistency builds trust. Every element, from structure to decoration, is guided by purpose and placed within a coherent living system. Our process balances analysis with execution, ensuring that outcomes remain precise, resilient, and relevant over time.
Our principles emphasise relevance over novelty, creating systems that endure beyond shifting trends. We believe meaningful design emerges when strategy and execution are aligned with personality, allowing spaces to adapt across time and cultures. Each project is an opportunity to craft work that is functional, culturally resonant, and capable of lasting impact.
